Ian Wright claims he wasn’t impressed with Nick Pope’s reaction during first Leeds goal on Saturday at Elland Road.
The Yorkshire club found themselves leading in the first half after Rodrigo headed the shot which rebounded off Nick Pope to Luke Ayling for 1-0. Wright thought Pope should’ve reacted better at Rodrigo’s headed attempt.
|Looking at a replay of the incident, Wrighty said: “I’m not sure about that save, I think he’s got to push that away” and was quickly backed-up by his son who said: “I’ve got to totally agree with you”.
Leeds and Newcastle shared the points at Elland Road after an entertaining match ended 2-2 as Callum Wilson converted two penalties before Rasmus Kristensen scored via deflected strike to equalize before the final whistle.
